As Production Assistant, you will work recording, mixing and producing excellent on-air elements and music using the computer. As our Board Operator, you are responsible for maintaining quality on-air levels and flow of programs and monitoring our systems to make sure that everything you hear on air, gets played on time, smoothly and without any glitches. Do transmitter readings to ensure proper power output. You also answer the studio phone lines.  
  
This is an on-site position based at our headquarters in Camarillo, California. Local candidates will be considered. This is a full time position.
 
What you will be doing
•    Writing, recording and mixing elements for the air and other platforms.
•    Placing elements in files ready for broadcast.
•    Keep the traffic elements on time including programs, music, breaks and running of ID’s.
•    Maintain on-air programming in the event of any system failure.
•    Monitor the transmitters every two hours.
•    Answer the studio phone lines, responding to listeners’ questions (minimal).
•    Load voice tracks and other elements
•    Run the studio board for broadcast with a live person.
•    Possible On-Air DJ work 
•    Maintain a clean and safe studio by dusting and wiping down counters and equipment as needed.
•    All Fundraisers, events and other tasks as necessary

Background or Experience needed
•    Bi-Lingual – Spanish and English.
•    Knowledge of equipment used for sound/audio or production of on-air material.
•    Radio production background is a plus.
•    Comfortable using Adobe Audition and able to learn new programs and software.
•    Proven ability to deal with multiple, simultaneous problems in a systematic, logical manner.
•    Demonstrated ability to work independently.
•    Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
•    Good written and verbal communication skills.
•    History of dedication, reliability, dependability, team contributor and are a quick learner.
•    Flexible schedule with the ability to work a variety of shift hours (including evening and weekends). 
•    Availability for Emergency situations at station – equipment and power interruptions.
